# Goal

> Setting up goals for your customers to achieve

Goals are a method for tracking your [customers](/core-resources/customer) adoption of the features in your applicaton. This enables your team to understand how much of the value your [customers](/core-resources/customer) have found in the application.

## The goal model

### Properties

`name` *string*

A unique name representing the goal.

`action_key`  *string*

The [action](/events/action) you want to track.

`threshold`  *integer*

The number of times the [action](/events/action) needs to occur before being counted as complete.
